How to Select a feeder

Selection requires the following data

1. The maximum width of the sheet/coil        ..............mm
2. The maximum thickness of the sheet/coil  ..............mm
3. The maximum stroke/pitch  ..............mm
4. The speed of the power press                  ..............mm

Some times it is also important to know which type of material is to be feeded.

The power presses on which our feeder can be mount

1. Hand Press
2. Mechanical Geared and Ungeared Press
3. Pneumatic Clutch
4. High speed Press

The Tools and Dies used can be

1. Simple Blanking
2. Progressive or Multi Cavity
3. Compound Dies
4. Compound plus Progressive

Salient Features

Salient Features of Feeders

Compact, Rigid and Strong Structure, which has negligible wear characteristics.
Interchangeability from one die to the other because of it simple installation
  with only two mounting screws.
Durable in Indian working conditions because of Extremely hard Aluminum
alloy feed body there is no oxidation due to wet air remaining inside the feeder.
Quiet during operation.
Low air Consumption makes it more economical because it saves electricity.
Accuracy - Precision Accuracy to the tune of 20 microns.
The incorporation of feeders

- Eliminates the operator completely.
-
Gives the accuracies in microns (hence saving the precious raw material).
-
Increases the total productivity in many folds.
-
It increase the life of your power presses and dies, which is far low in
case it is run manually (when operator is running it on manual mode without
feeder).
-

Raw materials which can be feeded are - metal/non-etc. available in coil form.

Installing a Feeder

Small feeders can be installed directly onto the inferior base of the tool. In this way they can avoid strip bending.

As you can see from the picture (Fig. 1), the installation is very easy.

2 fixing screws.

connection to compressed air.

Middle and heavy series feeders can as well be installed onto the press or operating machine by means of an adjustable square or bracket.
